Description:

The Three Horses of Her Accomplishments is a piece which is a play off of "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"--which are symbolic figures from the New Testament’s Book of Revelation, acting as harbingers of the Last Judgment. Summoned by the Lamb of God opening four of seven seals, they represent Conquest (White Horse), War (Red Horse), Famine (Black Horse), and Death (Pale Horse).

Created at the beginning of 2026—the Year of the Fire Horse—this triad shifts the narrative from doom and gloom toward intention, endurance, and ambition. Each horse becomes not a warning, but a marker of momentum.

The Blue Horse:

The female figure is at the jumping off point...a moment suspended between hesitation and action. After years shaped by grief and uncertainty, this character represents a readiness to enter the unknown with steadiness and trust--finally have the tools, skillset, and knowledge to push through 2026 with clarity, peace of mind, and excitement. The wave-like hair suggests not resistance, but the ability to move with difficulty rather than against it—finding detail, softness, and even beauty within what once felt overwhelming.

The Yellow Horse:

The yellow horse channels a different kind of energy: instinct, velocity, and ignition. [I wanted a horse which reminded me of the classic 2002 movie "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" which always got me revved up and ready to run--even now a days (and yes I did put it on while I was creating this piece).] The cheetah is a symbol of strength, precision, and nimbleness...a reminder that progress is not only about mentality, but about knowing when and how to move forward.

The Red Horse:

This horse speaks to both internal and physical challenges: the weight of grief, the rebuilding of the body, the act of pushing into unfamiliar strength. The mountain goat is a symbol of fortitude, determination and hard work paying off--of continuing despite steepness, and despite fatigue. The mountain is no longer just an obstacle, but a vantage point—evidence of what has been endured and overcome. Whether facing mental challenges from years of grief, or real physical challenges such as making the body move in exaggerated ways (such as in yoga and climbing), this piece is a representation of how it can be done.
